A Wild Life Office and his K-9 Partner were able to find a hidden hun under a rook in the woods. Police suspect the gun was used in a murder.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation got in contact with the officer after intelligence tipped them that an important piece of evidence may have been hidden in the woods in Pike county.
Mattis, the K-9, has been uniquely trained to detect items that contain raw or burnt gun powder. Once on the scene, the well-trained German Shepherd got to work and was able to find the loaded gun under a rock in less than 10 minutes.
Authorities suspect the gun has been hidden there for 10 days. No more info about the case has been made public. I will keep you updated once we have more info. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to get updates and follow our Facebook pages for more.
